What's new for 2023?
Back after an extensive redesign last year, there are still a variety of key changes to the Audi A3 for 2023. Most notably, the range-topping Prestige model has been discontinued. Premium trims are now available with adaptive cruise control as a standalone feature. Similarly, Premium Plus models can now be optioned with an LED interior lighting package. Other changes include the addition of 18-inch alloy wheels to the Black Optic package and wireless smartphone charging is now found within the available Convenience package.

Performance
The standard 2.0-liter -Turbo Fuel Stratified Injection-or TFSI® -engine of the Audi A3 offers 201 horsepower and 221 lb-ft of torque. Delivering that power through the 7-speed S tronic® dual-clutch transmission means crisper gear shifts and more time in the engine's power bands. Despite offering brisk, sporting performance, the A3 offers impressive fuel efficiency thanks to its use of a 48-volt mild hybrid (MHEV) setup. This system assists at low speeds, meaning that the engine doesn't have to work as hard, saving gas. The Audi A3 boasts impressive fuel economy figures of 28 MPG city / 38 MPG highway / 32 MPG combined.
Driver-focused Technology
The driver's seat of the Audi A3 feels more like a command center, with an array of driver-assist technologies to meet your every need. A 10.1-inch Multi-Media Interface (MMI®) touchscreen provides a seamless connection for infotainment and smartphone integration through standard Apple Carplay® and Google™ AndroidAuto™ interface. While connected to your smartphone, the display can control certain apps like music, calls, and navigation. Available Audi Virtual Cockpit replaces your dashboard instrument cluster with a 12.3-inch full-color digital display behind the steering wheel. Audi Virtual Cockpit delivers driver-customized information like a navigation screen, audio and media controls, or digital versions of traditional engine gauges. Standard MMI® touch interface lets you write in words on a touchpad thanks to handwriting-recognition technology. MMI® feature also connects through a smartphone interface to control apps with a touch interface or steering wheel controls.
Trusted Safety
Audi Pre Sense® Basic comes standard on all trims, offering state-of-the-art driver assistance technology - acting swiftly when hazardous driving conditions are identified. During detected emergencies, this safety system starts to close windows and pre-tension the front seat safety belts. Audi Pre Sense® Front - also standard - braces for imminent front-end damage with warnings and applying full braking assist if needed.
Other available safety technologies include the Audi side assist with rear cross-traffic assist for preventing collisions through your blind spots. The A3's active lane assist detects when you start leaving the lane without signaling at speeds above 40 mph. If a lane departure is detected, the system will gently rotate your steering wheel to bring your A3 back to a central lane position. Adaptive cruise assist maintains speed and appropriate following distances, while park assist and rear cross traffic assist make parking a breeze either in tight parking garages or on busy streets.
